: The co-founders at the formation of the TUM Foundation on 22nd July 2010.

On 22nd July 2010, an impressive ceremony was held for the official inauguration of the new TUM University Foundation. A group of 46 highly motivated initial founders - company representatives, aluni and friends of TUM - contributed a total of 14 million euros towards the new foundation's basic assets. The Foundation wishes to continue to increase its effectiveness and accordingly welcomes more initiative-takers and followers. Every support counts and is very much appreciated!

How to donate

The Foundation offers various ways of sponsoring our university. You can choose between long-term or short-term funding: one option is to make an endowment contribution to help build up the Foundation's capital reserves, so that the accruing returns can be used to support the university on a sustainable basis, or your donations are paid directly into the sponsored projects of your choice. Another possibility is to set up your own foundation under the umbrella of the TUM University Foundation. In this way, you can support research and teaching during your lifetime and beyond. Your commitment to Technische Universität München proves your sense of social responsibility to ensure that the next generations enjoy a high standard of education, that Germany remains competitive and that academia and science benefit from sustainable funding.
