Fundraising success in record time

Two TUM programs to assist students and researchers affected by the war in Ukraine were up and running in no time – thanks in part to private donations.

On a very tight timeline, ten grants worth EUR 25,000 each were successfully raised to support scientists fleeing from Ukraine with their families. These will enable them to work at TUM-IAS for an initial six-month research period while providing for their family members in the process. At similarly impressive speed, a second fundraising initiative raised EUR 40,000 to support TUM students impacted by the war in Ukraine.

Our special thanks go to our generous donors for the speed with which they responded to our call to help people caught up in this terrible war and give them a prospect for the future.
