There are many ways to support research and education at our University. Please feel free to get in touch with us. Make a gift
A donation in the form of funds, securities or property contributes towards TUM's research and teaching programs. In lieu of a single donation it is also possible to support TUM's activities by means of regular contributions. Needless to say, we will be happy to issue a donation certificate. Donations instead of gifts
Special events such as birthdays, anniversaries or celebrations are all apt occasions to request donations for the TUM University Foundation. Every contribution is welcome and helps bolster Foundation assets. The Foundation lives on the income generated by its invested assets. So you can rest assured that your contribution will benefit not only today’s but also tomorrow’s generations of researchers, teachers and students at TUM.
A foundation or an endowment contribution
A foundation enables you to sponsor the work of TUM on a long-term basis, both during your life-time and beyond. You yourself decide for which purpose the proceeds of your foundation shall be used. If you prefer not to set up your own foundation, another alternative is to support an existing foundation under the umbrella of TUM by means of an endowment contribution. Contributions up to a certain amount, as specified by law, are eligible for tax relief.
A bequest in your will
By bequeathing a gift in your will, you can help to shape the future beyond the end of your lifetime. TUM University Foundation (TUM Universitätsstiftung)
The Foundation offers all the aforementioned funding models. You can choose between a short-time or long-term sponsorship: your contributions either flow directly into the projects of your choice or are channelled into a capital stock whose revenue is then used to finance your cause over a longer term. Several themed funds are being set up within the TUM University Foundation, so you simply stipulate which sector you wish to promote.
