Campus and community
A strong community is more than just a collection of clever minds - a sense of togetherness is created through shared encounters and experiences.
This requires opportunities to come together, both in the form of buildings and in the form of special event formats. Only in this way can the TUM community network both within the university and externally with society.
By creating special teaching and learning venues or awarding scholarships, you can help to facilitate such encounters and bring people together who would otherwise not meet. It is precisely this exciting interdisciplinary exchange that creates synergies. Exhibitions, concerts, symposia and much more bring together the most diverse players - we need financial freedom for this.
If you feel addressed by our community and would like to make a contribution or make the campus even more attractive, please contact the fundraising team! We look forward to hearing from you!

TUM: Junge Akademie
TUM: Junge Akademie is committed to strengthening the sense of social responsibility of young academics and offering them experience in scientific work at an early stage. The academy supports particularly talented students from TUM and the participating partner universities who are enthusiastic about research and teaching. A maximum of 45 scholarship holders are accepted each year.

Targeted support for women
The Ingeborg Pohl Studienfond Raitenhaslach under the umbrella of the TUM University Foundation enables female students and scientists to participate in events at the TUM Academy Center Raitenhaslach.
Postdoc support program: TUM Global Postdoc Fellowships
The TUM Global Postdoc Fellowships help the university to attract excellent international postdocs to TUM. This makes TUM attractive to high-caliber graduates who come to our university for a year immediately after completing their doctorate to contribute to the university's academic life. The TUM University Foundation has awarded 61 fellowships to date.

Linde Fellowships at the Munich Data Science Institute (MDSI)
Linde and the MDSI have joined forces to support excellent doctoral students from various fields and to strengthen interdisciplinary research in the field of data science. New fellows from the fields of data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence are recruited every year. This is an exemplary way for Linde to promote young scientific talent.

IAS Fellowships for Ukrainian scientists
In light of the war in Ukraine, TUM launched a program that enabled refugee researchers to stay in Bavaria. They were initially accepted at TUM for six months to work on promising projects together with TUM professors - under the supervision of the TUM Institute for Advanced Study (TUM-IAS). These fellowships were generously funded privately.

Childcare facilities
We would like to thank our sponsors for generously providing the childcare facilities, which make it easier for our employees and students to combine child and career.

Tschira Forum
A generous donation from the Klaus Tschira Foundation enabled us to extend the landmark of our university - the historic clock tower on the main campus. Opportunities for special events were created here - in an extraordinary ambience. We would like to thank Klaus Tschira and the Klaus Tschira Foundation and name the room the Tschira Forum in his honor.
TUM Advent Concerts
At our traditional Advent matinee on the first weekend of Advent, the TUM family and friends of TUM come together to bring the year to a close with a big concert in the Isarphilharmonie. The Freunde der TUM e.V. finances this event and the guests donate generously to the TUM University Foundation, which supports TUM actively and with great commitment. A big thank you at this point!
